This light, whipped body butter with the light scent of lavender is so easy to make and works wonders for dry skin.
DIY Whipped Body Butter with Essential OilsIngredients: Shea butter Coconut Oil Jojoba oil (optional) Essential oils of choice (i.e. lavender, geranium, etc.) Directions: Mix equal parts of shea butter and coconut oil (you can add jojoba oil here too if you like) in a double boiler. Allow mixture to melt, remove from heat, and add essential oil if using (we like lavender and geranium). Allow to cool completely (about half an hour). Oil mixture will begin to solidify. Once it is partially solidified: Whip on medium speed for several minutes. Mixture will take on a nice, whipped, buttery texture. Place in air tight containers.
